Increase Golf Performance Using Hinging Exercises

Reach and Hold – Great exercise to strengthen your golf posture. During each rep use a mirror to keep your back straight and head in alignment with your back. Start with 10-20 second reps, 6-10 reps per set, 2-3 sets.

Bent Over Row – Another great golf posture strengthening exercise. During each rep use a mirror to keep your back straight and head in alignment with your back. Form is more important than using a heavy weight. Start with 12-20 reps, 2-3 sets.

Deadlift and Trap Bar Deadlift – The deadlift is a great exercise to build strength for your gold game. Deadlifts build strength in the entire backside of your body. During each rep use a mirror to keep your back straight and head in alignment with your back. The trap bar brings the weight back over your hips which can be a safer technique. Start with a lighter weight and work on form. Start with 8-12 reps, 2-3 sets.
